Good eats for $3, variety and large portions, good music and decent drinks. Only downer is some of these vendors dont offer napkins or utensils. Word of advice, pack your own! But honestly one of my fave fests.

My understanding is that this is the second largest “Taste” in the Chicagoland area after The Taste of Chicago. I attend every year and with one good reason, Excellent! Melrose Park has a very diverse ethnic population with both Italians and Hispanics playing major roles. It’s also well known for its culinary diversity, most of which is truly authentic due to the large number of family-owned establishments. These are old-world original recipes prepared with the pride that only accompanies the definition of “family-owned”. So take a break from the large nationwide corporate franchises and re-experience a Taste of Home. There’s something here for everyone, including the most experienced consumer with the most discerning taste buds. Combine all that with its Carnival, LIVE Music and Free admission and parking, and you have a Winner on All Levels. I highly recommend it as well as the “Experience”. 5 Stars without a doubt! Enjoy!

As the second largest "Taste" festival in the Chicagoland area, right after the renowned Taste of Chicago, Taste Of Melrose Park showcases an impressive array of authentic cuisine from both Italian and Hispanic influences, reflecting the diverse ethnic tapestry of the region. Here, family-owned establishments proudly serve up heirloom recipes, offering a true taste of home that departs from the cookie-cutter offerings of corporate franchises.

Attendees rave about the affordability and portion sizes, with dishes available starting at just $2 to $3. Imagine savoring fried calamari, garlic shrimp, artichoke heart casserole, and mouthwatering root beer floats, all while enjoying the sounds of live music wafting through the air. No wonder our customer, Evelyn A., enthusiastically noted the “good eats for $3” and “large portions” that make this festival a family favorite!

What's more, aside from the food, there’s a carnival atmosphere complete with rides that delight children and adults alike. Many patrons, like Mike, cherish this festival not only for its culinary offerings but also for its commitment to preserving the charm of ethnic food festivals—a rare gem in today’s landscape. Combine all this with professional entertainment, including Folklorico dancers, and it’s clear that Taste Of Melrose Park is a sensory extravaganza that should not be missed.
